Supplies Needed to Make a Paper Tube Napkin Ring:

  • Paper tube from paper towel rolls or toilet tissue
  • Beaded Treasures 6/0 Glass Seed Beads Mixes Mahogany 26 gauge beading Wire.
  • Kitchen or jute twine
  • E-6000 glue
  • Scissors
  • Wire cutters

Cut your paper tube into a 1.5-inch high paper circle.

Cut a piece of jute or twine into approximately three yards in length.
Wrap the end of the twine around the inside of the paper tube and tie into a knot and trim.

If you need to add more twine, tie the two pieces of string into a knot, making sure the knot is inside the paper tube napkin ring.

Twist the twine around the paper tube so that the knot is on the inside.

Continue wrapping the twine around the paper ring as in the photo above.

When you are finished wrapping the paper tube with twine, secure the twine’s end with a bit of E-6000  glue.

Make sure that you secure the twine on the inside of the tube.

Take your bead wire and wrap it around the tube three and one-half times.

Cut the end of the wire with wire cutters.

Unwrap the wire.

Please make a small hook on one end of the wire and attach it to the paper tube napkin as in the photo above.

String the seed beads onto the wire and wrap the beaded wire around the paper tube.

Make a small hook at the other end of the wire so that the beads do not fall off the wire.

Wrap the beaded wire tightly around the tube and add a small amount of E-6000 glue onto the end of the beaded wire to secure it in place.

You may have to place your finger on the end of the beaded wire and apply pressure to make sure the glue adheres to the paper tube napkin ring.

Let the glue dry before placing napkins into the ring. Set your table and get ready for all the compliments you will receive for your craftiness!
